There’s no shortage of things happening in the world that we could write about, many of them depressing and economic in nature, but you can read about that stuff anywhere. We’re going to take a look at LSU D-lineman Ricky Jean-Francois, who recently told the Orlando Sentinel, “If we get a good shot on (Florida QB Tim Tebow) we’re going to try our best to take him out of the game.” Predictably, Ricky backed off those comments and later talked about them being taken out of context. Not sure I’m buying that one. What a goofy thing for him to say…I can’t wait to watch this game on Saturday.

As Coaches, where do we draw the line when it comes to trash talk? How do we even define trash talk? Are the rules different for high-profile athletes who are covered by national media? Did Ricky Jean-Francois hurt his team? Maybe we’ll find out this weekend.

Slightly Obscure 80’s Lyric of the Week

99 Decision street

99 ministers meet

To worry, worry, super scurry

Call the troops out in a hurry

This is what we’ve waited for

This is it boys, this is war

The president is on the line

As 99 red balloons go by
