This post is three days overdue. My apologies, but I figure the majority of you never read this until Monday anyhow.
This past Friday and Saturday I was at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. FCA hosted about 100 athletes at a sports/leadership training camp. I had the great privilege of spending two afternoons with the Coaches who were there to lead the morning sports time. (The building pictured is where we met). What a tremendous group of men and women who love God and love coaching.
We spent 2 1/2 hours both days getting to know each other and spending time digging into God’s Word together. (I don’t know if 5 hours has ever flown by so quickly.) The Bible has so much to say to Coaches about goal setting, priorities, encouraging others, sowing seeds of faith, and being women/men of obedient action. These Coaches left a huge mark on me, and I thank each of them for showing up, participating and sharing so much with us all. The impact of what God did last weekend could be felt for a long, long time. I am praying the Coaches who attended were as blessed as I was to be there.
As you may know, this week Thursday-Saturday we’ll host a similar experience for Coaches at MNU in Olathe, KS. Can’t wait to see what God does this week.
