Merely looking at the images was devastating, so I can’t imagine what it was like to live through one of the tornadoes that struck in Joplin, or other parts of Missouri and Kansas earlier this week.
Most of us who weren’t impacted directly wonder how to help those who were. In James chapter 2 (v. 15-16)we read that authentic, life changing faith inspires us to care for the physical needs of those who are lacking. So for any who find their way to this blog, I hope you will read the following, taken from the KC FCA webpage. God bless.

How You Can Help

1. Make a donation to Heart to Heart International for their relief efforts in Joplin, MO. You can write a check or donate online.

2. You may consider giving to the Salvation Army which was one of the first responders to this disaster or Samaritan’s Purse.

3. You may help by donating blood to your local Community Blood Center. Local Community Blood Centers are located at:
Overland Park, 10568 Metcalf Ave., 913-339-9267

Kansas City, 4040 Main, 816-753-4040

4. Read the letter from FCA’s Wes Simmons about a special benevolence fund that’s been established to aid the families of coaches in Joplin who have lost their homes, and consider a gift to that fund.
