A Big Night for CFC
by Ryan Krzykowski
A City Transformed — that was the theme of the evening as friends and supporters of Community for Coaches gathered at The Venue in Leawood for CFC’s 4th Annual Fall Benefit Dinner/Auction. Guests were treated to music from the Olathe Northwest High School Jazz Band, a wonderful meal and silent auction. KCTV5 meteorologist Brett Anthony served as the event host.
Using both video and live speakers, the story of CFC’s efforts over the past year was shared with the gathering. Coach Tyler Rodden, sports parent Tracy Van Dyke and CFC Director Ryan Krzykowski all spoke, all reinforcing the idea that God is using Community for Coaches to help coaches at all levels of sports most effectively utilize their role and influence to use sports as a tool of positive and eternal life change. And that when a growing number of coaches in our city are moving in that direction, our city is transformed and becomes a better place for all. A portion of Tyler’s speech, along with Ryan’s entire speech can be viewed here on the CFC website. (The lighting in the room was great, but did not translate well to the video. However, the sound quality is just fine).
The entire CFC team would like to thank all who attended and who generously gave in support of the ministry, along with the many who worked tirelessly to put the event together.
