We Need Each Other
by Ryan Krzykowski
A very close friend from my coaching past suffered the loss of his son last week, and over the weekend I traveled to Oklahoma for the service they had for him. The world is broken, life can be brutally difficult, and there’s no way to change that fact or make it easier. In the midst of all the sad and broken, we have the hope of knowing a God who not only provides His presence, but has created and positioned us to support each other.
God doesn’t intend for you to handle all the pain and stress in your life by yourself. We were wired for each other. We need each other.
– Rick Warren
Life doesn’t make any sense without interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn that, the better for us all.
– Erik Erikson
Each one of us has lived through some devastation, some loneliness, some weather superstorm or spiritual superstorm, when we look at each other we must say, I understand. I understand how you feel because I have been there myself. We must support each other and empathize with each other because each of us is more alike than we are unalike.
– Maya Angelou
Holiness grows so fast where there is kindness. The world is lost for want of sweetness and kindness. Do not forget we need each other.
– Mother Teresa
There are people in my life who I know would do anything for me, who would show up for me no matter what. I’m making it a point over the next couple months to thank those people, letting them know how grateful I am for them.
Let’s Coach With Purpose…
I finally acknowledged that fact, I was born for others. That changed my whole being here, for 45 years I lived to satisfy myself, then someone sent me packing, I had never not had full control, it was the best season walking in the valley of loss and humility, God revealed his love in that season, I never left his side. My Peace is in helping others “get back up”.
My heart goes out for this family, a deeper pain than I have endured, I can’t even imagine losing a child. sorry, I don’t understand that depth of loss.
Not sure there is a better response than what Rob just added. The only thing to say is +1 to Rob’s fine comment.
