2019 – What a Year

by Ryan Krzykowski

As I type this, 2019 is drawing to a close.  Looking back on the past 12 months, I feel tremendous gratitude.  I am so incredibly grateful for the calling we are working to live out: to help coaches at all levels develop and successfully live out a ‘transformational purpose’.  For the Vision we pursue: to see our city transformed through the influence of coaches who coach with purpose, fight for the hearts of their athletes, and commit to investing in other coaches.

For coaches who devote time and effort to attending and leading Coaching Life Groups.  For the handful of coaches who are in on the ground floor of the CFC Fellowship, and have committed to seeing that process continue on for generations.  For the coaches who have attended Coaching With Purpose workshops and have created Coaching Purpose Statements.  For the statements themselves, which serve as a powerful tool for coaches who have committed to use sports as a means to change lives.

For the many who support CFC in a variety of ways — with their time, energy, passion and finances.  For the CFC Board members, whose sacrifice makes it possible for CFC to thrive.  For the incredible mentors in my life — men like Dave Gras, Bill Kramer, Jim Hines, Dave Wooddell, Doug Simmons and Ken Goodyear to name a few, who inspire me every single day to live out my calling and persevere through challenges.  For the two best CFC co-laborers anyone could ever ask for, Sharon Thompson and Alec Lemmon, who put every bit of their hearts into this effort and never stop giving of themselves.

For a family whose love and support know no bounds.  For a team of pastors and a church home that grounds me, stretches me and loves me far more than I deserve.

Lastly and most importantly, for a God whose love for us moved Him to put on human flesh and experience the worst of what this world has to offer, that we might know Him, walk with Him, and be made right with Him, brought into His family for eternity.

2020 is going to be a dynamite year.  Let’s Coach With Purpose.
